AB De Villiers is a  South African cricketer known for his fantastic play. He is a right handed batsman.   He is one of the best batsman ever. He is very talented, he played lots of sports professionally. He Received a national medal from Mandela for a science project.  

Early Life

AB was born on February 17 1984 Pretoria, Transvaal Province, South Africa

Parents- Millie and Abraham Benjamin.AB was raised in the small town of Warmbad, in the north of the country, where he attended primary school. It was here that AB learned to play cricket in the backyard with his brothers- Jan (9), Wessels (6) and Martin van Jaarsveld  

How it started

He attended Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (school).  While playing for the South African Schools Eleven he was spotted by the Titan’s coach Dave Nosworthy. Who gave him a chance to play for the Titans in the 2003 Cricket world cup against Canada.  AB took the chance. Like he said- “ life is all about grabbing opportunities. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands.”  That's how it all started…

Early Career

These are the teams that AB played for. 2003 He played for Northerns ,2004 Titans ,2008 Delhi daredevils , 2011 Royal Challengers and of course the national South African Team.  

Test Debut for SA 17 December 2004 vs England. ODI debut 2nd february 2005 vs England,T20 Debut 24 February 2006 vs Australia

AB De Villiers is famous because he is a fantastic cricket player. He is also famous because he made it into so many international sport teams. AB Devilliers is known as a cricket player but he also shortlisted for Jr national hockey squad. He shortlisted for Jr national football squad. He Captained South Africa Jr rugby . Hold six South Africa school swimming records. He has the record for the fastest 100mtr time in South Africa junior athletics.He is a member of South Africa Jr Davis Cup tennis team.He was the  National Badminton U-19 champion. He Has a golf handicap of scratch. He Received a national medal from Nelson Mandela for a science project.

Abraham Benjamin De Villiers is his actual name. Currently he is 31.  He is  famous for his great batting and for being an all rounder, he is a right hander. He also has a music album- Maak Jou Drome Waar.
