Laura Langman is a netball player she plays in the silver ferns and magics she plays the position of center and sometimes Wing Defense or Wing Attack.
Early life/ Education
Laura langman was born on 6 of April 1986. She grew up on a farm in the Waikato, with her mum Christine and her dad Greg and her sister Jessica. Laura Langman started netball in year 4. She went to Te Pahu primary school and then went to Hillcrest High School and Waikato University. In High School she was captain of the the best netball team for two year and Sports Captain in her 7th form year.
How she became famous
It was obvious with all the sports she was involved in at high school she would get a job that includes sport. She joined the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magics in 2003 then later on accepted to the silver ferns. She also played a bit of soccer, indoor basketball, squash, tennis, volleyball, cricket she also did horse riding events and taught herself to surf, windsurf, water ski, wakeboard and snowboarding. She also learnt jazz, ballet and the keyboard.
Engaged/Marriage
Laura langman was married in 2013 to Adrian Pooley who is a sports science technician. Laura was 27 at the time and Adrian was 34. .
Her achievements
Laura langman has won many awards. She won a gold medal with the Silver Ferns in 2009 at the netball world cup and she got to 50 test cap in 2009. Laura langman also won another gold medal with the Silver Ferns in 2010 at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. She was named captain of the Silver Ferns several times in 2012 due to Casey Williams injuries. She was also named captain of the 2012 Fast5 team where she led them to a gold medal against the English netball team. She has never missed a game for the silver ferns.
