Dermott Brereton


Early life
Legendary Australian rules player, Dermott Brereton, was born on 19th August 1964 in Australia. He shared the same first name as his father,his father's name was  Dermott Joseph Brereton and his mother's name is Jean Nancy Brereton. His parents were Irish but they moved to australia before he was born.


Early career of his career
Dermott Brereton played his first game when he was 18 for the hawthorn hawks in the semi final against North Melbourne in 1982. In this debut he played with Leigh Matthews,who later turned out to be an afl commentator with him.


Career


Between 1982 and 1992 Dermott Brereton played 189 senior games for Hawthorn, winning a best and fairest award in 1985. He was a member of premiership teams in 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989 and 1991, and represented Victoria in state of origin matches nine times, gaining All Australian selection once.

Dermott Brereton is currently an afl commentator.FOX Footy has announced Dermott Brereton and Anthony Hudson will join its AFL commentary team in 2012.They both joined previously announced Eddie McGuire and existing experts as part of its line-up under a new broadcast deal, produced by FOX Sports.

Nice work Brodie but I just think that you need to give more info about him, especially about his early life but it was really good.
