Early Life

AB was born on February 17 1984 Pretoria, Transvaal Province, South Africa

Parents- Millie and Abraham Benjamin.AB was raised in the small town of Warmbad, in the north of the country, where he attended primary school. It was here that AB learned to play cricket in the backyard with his brothers- Jan (9), Wessels (6) and Martin van Jaarsveld  

How it started

He attended Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (school).  While playing for the South African Schools Eleven he was spotted by the Titan’s coach Dave Nosworthy. Who gave him a chance to play for the Titans in the 2003 Cricket world cup against Canada.  AB took the chance. Like he said- “ life is all about grabbing opportunities. I grabbed the opportunity with both hands.”  That's how it all started…

These are the teams that AB played for. 2003 He played for Northerns ,2004 Titans ,2008 Delhi daredevils , 2011 Royal Challengers and of course the national South African Team.

AB De Villiers is famous because he is a fantastic cricket player. He is also famous because he made it into so many international sport teams. AB Devilliers is known as a cricket player but he also shortlisted for Jr national hockey squad. He shortlisted for Jr national football squad. He Captained South Africa Jr rugby . Hold six South Africa school swimming records. He has the record for the fastest 100mtr time in South Africa junior athletics.He is a member of South Africa Jr Davis Cup tennis team.He was the  National Badminton U-19 champion. He Has a golf handicap of scratch. He Received a national medal from Nelson Mandela for a science project.

Abraham Benjamin De Villiers is his actual name. Currently he is 31.  He is  famous for his great batting and for being an all rounder, he is a right hander. He also has a music album- Maak Jou Drome Waar.

In April 22 1982 Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite Kaka was born in brazil. He is a great player ever since he was young he started to attract professional attention when he was the age of fifteen he signed to the sao paulo. His great potential of a career had to stop when he had a swimming pool accident.

Soccer Career

His position is center attacking midfielder (CAM) but now he is thirty three and is heading towards the end of his fascinating career.

Personal life

Kaká married his childhood sweetheart Caroline Celico on 23 December 2005 at a Rebirth in Christ church in São Paulo. He  has a son and daughter named Luca and Isabella leite,Kakas friends are Marcelo Saragosa they both served each other best man in each others wedding he is also close friends with Radamel Falcao!

Dwayne johnson was born in 1972 may the second. Dwayne was born with a wrestling history in his family, his father (Rocky johnson) is hawaiian and was born august 24 1944 and is currently 70 his father (James henry bowles) we’re both wrestlers in their time. His mother (Ata johnson) is samoan and was born october 25 1948 and is currently 66. His brother (Curtis bowles) is the son of Rocky johnson and a woman named Luan. He actually went to a school in New zealand, auckland richmond road school.

He is also known for his finishing move where he does some sort of action then bounces off the edge of the ring then to the other and then lifts up his leg and falls back on the person. When Dwayne johnson was a wrestler he was known for lifting his right eyebrow at the crowd and or his versus.

The end of his wrestling career and the start of his            acting career

Dwayne retired his (WWE) days on august 2013, Dwayne first showed up in a movie called Alcatraz, an island deserted in the ocean and prisoners try to escape.

Growing up Dwayne johnson had a hard life, his father had abandoned him and was always on the road and never had time for him. His father had been cheating on his wife for a girl named Luan, he had told her that he was single but had lied. Dwayne and his mother found out the hard way by seeing them in a magazine called star, soon after Dwyane at twelve started calling Luan telling her to stay away from his father and leave his mother alone. Luan was a fan after seeing him on TV and so she sent him a message. After having almost a full conversation, she asked him if he was single he replied no.

In 1995, Dwayne johnson started his wrestling career and as i said before his wrestling career came to an end on august 2013.

Eighty-six acting careers Dwayne johnson has devoted his time to, also including his wrestlemania days.

Bill Gates started Microsoft on a garage in april 4 1975. Bill Gates was 20 at that time. Then Paul allen Paul Allen was hired into MITS and Bill Gates hired him in microsoft november 1975.Gates got engages with computer programming when he was 13.

His family

HIs wife Melinda gates is very involved on charity And the co founder of the charity foundation that they have. She had donated about 24 billion dollars in total.

Philanthropy

He had a big impact in diseases and it leaded him to a great life with a great family with a great mansion house.

My Literacy Focus: Use more commas instead of full stops for effect.

My Intention: I want to make the reader feel sad and like the person in the story.

I stare through the car window. I just can’t bear to see this unsightly sight. I never thought my beautiful hometown would become like this, wrecked. The fear, of what would happen to the place I was born, the place I lived in for so many years. I am afraid and my feet is trembling, I don’t want to leave like this, but I have no choice. I keep asking myself what would have happened if I was left here. Me and my parents would have died if we didn't escape in time. I am grateful for what happened to my family. I am just so lucky my parents were alert enough to sense something bad was going to happen. When they heard the sound of missiles, they just grabbed me and drove off. That moment of my life was one that I would never ever forget.

ANZAC Learning and Field of Remembrance

In hub 3 we spent Term One developing our critical literacy skills while we explored a range of topics, including the First World War.

While all learners were immersed in learning how to research effectively, different literacy groups were using these skills to explore different topics.

One of these topics was looking in depth at the First World War, and the implications it had for the various cultures involved. The Mawhera literacy group looked at the Maori Pioneer Battalion, the different perspectives of Maori towards the war, and how different cultures at the time all came together to fight under the flag of a relatively young country - New Zealand.

We decided a great way to pay respect to the ANZAC soldiers,who fought and died in the war in Gallipoli, would be to create a 'Field of Remembrance'. A local trust dedicated to these fields supported us by sending out all the kits, and we built the crosses needed.

We wrote letters to the passed soldiers, thanking and showing respect for the service they gave to this country. We attached these to the cross with the soldiers name on it, and set up our Field of Remembrance in a place of Tapu - a sacred place for the crosses to rest.


Many learners from Hub 3 also attended the St Heliers memorial service on ANZAC Day, 25th April. Some of us went with their local scouts or cub groups. Those of us who went with Mr Lunn and Mr Baker laid a custom-made wreath on the Memorial chair to show our respect.

It was a great day of learning for all involved, including the teachers, and we all gained a new respect for the soldiers and citizens of New Zealand who were involved in the First World War.
