Independant Writing

Writing Focus : Remove the I's, we's and they's
Writing Intention : I want the reader to feel like they are the boy in the story.

It was torture to watch the city that I know like the back of my hand torn down. There was only one building still standing. I got the feeling of guilt. Where are all the people? There was not a single human in sight. We were slowly and carefully moving through the bumpy road with broken scraps from the buildings and houses. While feeling a tear on my cold check I open the window halfway and looked out. There was one woman crying while staring at a picture in a small frame. Maybe someone that she knows died. All of this is very terrifying. Why does it have to be like this?
